We are currently receiving reports that scammers are targeting Queensland Country Members by posing as Queensland Country Fraud Department staff. These scam callers may have access to your card details, potentially as a result of the recent Ticketmaster data breach.
The scammers may call advising that fraudulent activity has been detected on your account. Some may request that you download an App allowing remote access or request access to Internet Banking.
While it is unconfirmed at this time, this may be due to the recent breach of Ticketmaster, resulting in the leak of personal information from people all around the world, which may include card details. It appears that during these scam calls, the caller is able to provide your full card details.
It is our priority to help you protect your banking and funds.
Queensland Country will never provide your card details over the phone, ask our Members to download any additional apps or request that you provide passwords or login details over the phone, by text or by email.
If in doubt, please hang up and call our verified Contact Centre 1800 075 078 and ask to speak with our Fraud department.
