At Queensland Country, each year we invest in sponsorships both at state wide level and in a smaller local scale. We are proud to support both the big and the small. Below is just a snapshot of the activities we are involved in throughout our Queensland communities
North Queensland Toyota Cowboys
Queensland Country has been a long term major sponsor of the Cowboys, and was excited to extend the commitment to the 2015 NRL Premiers by becoming the official banking partner of the club in 2016.
This partnership has been celebrated with a series of exciting initiatives:
- A planned Queensland Country traineeship for a Cowboys Under-20s player
- Partnering with the Cowboys’ Learn Earn Legend! program, which provides education support to Indigenous students in Years 11 and 12 and having a trainee from the program at Queensland Country.
- Crackles attends every Home Game and gives one lucky attendee the chance to win with our ‘Bring Home the Bacon’ competition
- The Cowboys appeared in our flagship product campaign for SmartBudget – watch below
Queensland Country and the Cowboys are both proud of their strong community focus throughout Queensland, especially in regional areas.

The festival has run since 1958 and showcases a parade that allows community groups, schools and businesses to participate with decorative floats.
Queensland Country has been supporting and participated in this event for many years.

Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo
The Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo is the largest rodeo in the Southern Hemisphere and was founded in 1959 with a vision to put the new, remote town of Mount Isa on the map. Today Mount Isa is proudly the “Rodeo Capital of Australia”.
To date the ‘Isa Rodeo’, as it affectionately known, has directly given in excess of $4.6 million to charity in Mount Isa. On top of that, the rodeo provides fundraising for local schools, clubs, community services and non-profit organisations.
Queensland Country is a Major Supporter of the Rodeo and looks forward to Rodeo Time every year when we transform our branch in to scene from the outback in support of the event.
Townsville Cricket Club
The Townsville Cricket Club hosts cricket games weekly for all ages. They are pushing for girls to get involved in the classic sport. To ensure all players are getting the most out of the game, free coaching courses are being held to assist coaches in becoming better.
Queensland Country sponsors the club to help them with their goals.
