Exciting Progress at 247 Adelaide Street

Queensland Country Bank is taking a significant step forward in our commitment to South-East Queensland (SEQ) with the upcoming relocation for our local Brisbane staff to a newly purchased, six-story building at 247 Adelaide Street in Brisbane’s CBD.

With internal demolition wrapped up and construction well underway, this prime location will feature a brand-new, modern branch and serve as a welcoming home for our Brisbane-based administration and support teams.

Investing in South-East Queensland

This high-profile location offers excellent brand exposure and complements our iconic head office in Townsville. It represents an opportunity to consolidate our SEQ operations, improve accessibility for our Members, and build our capacity for future growth in the southern region.

Aaron Newman, Chief Executive Officer of Queensland Country Bank, shared his enthusiasm for the milestone:

We are incredibly proud to be committed to our Members in South-East Queensland and support SEQ communities. This new building further represents our ambition to be Queensland's Best Regional Bank and provides a fantastic foundation for our people and our Members.

Thinking forward – for staff and Members

The decision to purchase and relocate to 247 Adelaide Street is a commitment to creating an environment that reflects how we work today and into the future.

The new building has been purposefully designed with activity-based working in mind. It will offer a smart, flexible mix of spaces. By fostering collaboration and enhancing job satisfaction, Adelaide Street will be an innovative workplace where our employees can feel a strong sense of belonging and, ultimately, allows the Bank to better serve its Members.

Proudly supporting our community

Our commitment to the South-East Queensland community extends far beyond the walls of our new building. We are immensely proud of our ongoing community partnerships that help us give back to the region we serve. This includes our continued support of Queensland Cricket, the Brisbane Heat, and Ronald McDonald House Charities South-East Queensland.

Supporting community projects through our community grants program, from Beaudesert, Ipswich and Stanthorpe through to Brisbane, Maroochydore and Maleny – the bank continues to reinvest some its profits back into SEQ communities with $125,000 shared between eight not-for-profit organisations in the 2025-26 round.

We look forward to keeping you updated, and we cannot wait to welcome you to our new Adelaide Street branch in 2026!
