What is two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication is the process of proving who you are and it is a critical step in how we as a financial institution protect our Members’ accounts online. Two-factor authentication is the most secure way to manage external transfers and it is easy to use.
SMS security and security tokens form part of Queensland Country’s two-factor authentication process. Depending on preference and circumstances (such as location), Members can select which best meets their needs.
Our SMS security option will validate each biller or payee by sending you an SMS. Once you validate the recipient, you won't need to verify them again, as Internet Banking will accept them as "trusted".
If you have chosen our token security option, you can download the "VIP Access" app on Google Play or the Apple App store to use a free soft token service which will generate a security code each time you transfer to a new recipient. If mobile service is a challenge in your location, we can also provide a small, physical token device that generates a code similar to the VIP Access app.
To arrange a physical token or for further assistance please call us on 1800 075 078 or visit any Queensland Country branch. You can also read our tips for staying safe online.
