At Queensland Country Bank, we’ve always believed that good banking starts with listening. Why?
Because understanding What Matters Most to our Members helps us build stronger, more connected communities.
Recently, we put this belief into action with our Member Survey: What Matters Most?
The idea was simple: ask our Members to share the causes that mean the most to them and nominate a charity to go in the draw to win a $2,500 donation.
The response was overwhelming! We received more than 200 nominations from every corner of Queensland, each one shining a light on the compassion and generosity of our Members. From animal rescue and youth support to community wellbeing and environmental care, the answers reflected a shared commitment to helping others.
The standout winner was WILVOS | Saving Wildlife, nominated by Members from the Maleny and Sunshine Coast region.
WILVOS rescues, rehabilitates, and releases injured and orphaned native animals, protecting Queensland’s precious wildlife for future generations. For many of our Members and staff, this result struck a special chord and was proof that care for community and country runs deep in our DNA.
But the survey wasn’t just about a prize. It was about listening. Every response helps us better understand the issues closest to your hearts, guiding how we continue to support Queensland communities now and into the future.
This initiative aligns with our long-running Good for Good Community Grants program, through which we’ve invested $3 million back into community projects since 2005.
Because when we listen, we learn, and that’s what being good for good is all about.
