Queensland Country Bank is proud to announce that we have been awarded the certification of a ‘Great Place To Work’.

In order to receive this certification, we issued a survey to our employees which posed a range of questions about our organisation, from working conditions to workplace camaraderie.

There were 232 of our employees who responded to the survey. Of this number, a staggering 89% said they would call Queensland Country Bank a great place to work.  

For our Area Manager of Townsville, Libby Zollner, it is an honour for our organisation to receive this certification. Libby said “I am proud to work for Queensland Country Bank, an organisation that truly values its Members and Employees. Queensland Country’s member-focused approach ensures every interaction is genuine, making it a pleasure to work here.”

Evidently, this certification shows that employees at Queensland Country Bank are living the values we’ve set for ourselves: Be Genuine, Bring Your Best, Put People First, and Embrace Change.

One of our Loan Officers in Rockhampton, Will Brown, said “I have been a staff member of Queensland Country Bank nearing on 5 years. From the moment I started my first shift, I immediately felt like I was a valued member of staff where my opinion and point of view mattered.”

It’s great to hear that our employees not only enjoy working at Queensland Country Bank, but they feel heard and seen by everyone at the organisation. Creating a workplace culture where our employees can feel comfortable and excited to come to work is always a top priority.

As our Personal Banking Team Leader from Stanthorpe, Jenna Harvey, puts it “there are always plenty of smiles and laughter in our branch and I take great pleasure in recognising Queensland Country as my employer.” Comments like this are why we take pride in being certified as a great place to work.
