The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) administers the Financial Claims Scheme, which is an additional protection for deposits.

The Financial Claims Scheme ensures that depositors with a member-owned bank, publicly-listed bank or building society will be guaranteed repayment of their funds in the extremely unlikely event that any banking institution faces stress.

The Scheme includes a guarantee of $250,000 per person per institution.

You can easily register for e-Statements in Internet Banking or the Mobile App. We've outlined the steps to follow below:

Internet Banking

1. Login to Internet Banking.
2. Click on 'Services' in the top menu and select ‘e-Statement Management’.
3. Complete the two-factor verification and under the 'I Want To' option, select 'Register'.
4. Accept the Terms & Conditions and click 'Save'

Mobile App

1. Login to the Mobile App.
2. Open the side menu by pressing the three lines in the top right corner and select 'eStatements'.
3. Select 'Manage eStatements' and under the 'I Want To' option, select 'Register'.
4. Accept the Terms & Conditions and click 'Save'

When you join Queensland Country Bank, we provide you with a Member Contents Pack. This is either given to you as a hard copy if you join in-branch or sent to you via email, based on your preference at the time. Your Member Number is included in this pack.

Furthermore, your Member Number will also be included in any correspondence which we issue you during your Membership tenure.

If you have a Queensland Country Bank Visa Debit or Visa Credit card, your Member Number is embossed on the front of the card, just below your name.

A Power of Attorney is a legal document that appoints another person (or persons) to act on your behalf in certain circumstances. This can include making decisions about your finances, property, health care or other matters. A POA can be used in a wide range of circumstances such as:

• If you become incapacitated;
• Unable to handle your affairs due to illness or travel; or
• Simply want someone else to handle your affairs whilst you are away.

Requirements for POA’s vary state-to-state, two categories of POA’s exist:

1. General Power of Attorney: General POA’s only remain in effect while you (the Principal) have mental capacity. It allows an attorney to make decisions about your financial matters; and
2. Enduring Power of Attorney (EPOA): This document remains in effect even if you lose mental capacity, it can allow attorneys to make decisions about your financial and/or health matters.

Limitations can be placed on POA’s such as they only come into effect if you lose capacity, or that attorney’s only have limited powers.

Appropriate legal advice should be sought before making a decision on the future management of all financial affairs.

If you have appointed an attorney and would like to have them added to your accounts with Queensland Country Bank, there are some requirements that need to be met, including:

1. Complete our Power of Attorney or Administrator Notice;
2. Bring your original or certified copy of your POA into branch; and
3. Complete an ID verification for each attorney added.

If your POA or EPOA documents were signed outside of Queensland, they will need to be assessed to ensure they meet Queensland Country’s acceptance guidelines.

BPAY^® is a widely used Australian electronic bill payment system that allows you to pay your bills securely directly from your bank account.

It operates using a unique Biller Code and Customer Reference Number (CRN), which you’ll find on your bill or invoice.

We offer BPAY^® as a payment option to support your bill-paying requirements.

We offer several options to pay your bills using BPAY^®:

Mobile App or Internet Banking:

You can make BPAY^® payments through the Queensland Country Bank Mobile App or Internet Banking using the ‘Pay’ option.

In branch:

You can visit your local branch with a copy of your bill and we’ll process the BPAY^® payment on your behalf.

Over the phone via our Contact Centre:

You can call our Contact Centre on 1800 075 078 and we’ll assist you with your BPAY^® payment.
