How can I register for e-Statements?

Member-owned banks are regulated by the same government regulator as the major banks – the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).

APRA’s supervision is designed to minimise the chance that a financial institution will be unable to meet its obligations to depositors. Member-owned banks, publicly-listed banks and building societies must all comply with the same set of APRA rules (known as Prudential Standards). We comply with all Prudential Standards and are in a strong and stable financial position.

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) administers the Financial Claims Scheme, which is an additional protection for deposits.

The Financial Claims Scheme ensures that depositors with a member-owned bank, publicly-listed bank or building society will be guaranteed repayment of their funds in the extremely unlikely event that any banking institution faces stress.

The Scheme includes a guarantee of $250,000 per person per institution.
