From 01 September 2026, Queensland Country Bank will be increasing the fees that may apply when a transaction cannot be processed due to insufficient available funds, or when we choose to honour a transaction and overdraw your account.
Currently, dishonour and honour fees may apply when there are insufficient available funds in an account to process a payment, direct debit, cheque or other eligible transaction.
From 01 September 2026, the following fees will increase:
A dishonour fee may be charged when a transaction cannot be processed because there are insufficient available funds in the account.
An honour charge may be applied when Queensland Country Bank chooses to process a transaction despite there being insufficient available funds, resulting in the account becoming overdrawn.
The fee increases will only apply where a dishonour or honour event occurs on or after 01 September 2026.
This change does not affect the way your accounts operate. However, if a payment is presented to an account with insufficient available funds, the updated fee may apply depending on whether the transaction is dishonoured or honoured.
To help avoid these fees, we encourage Members to ensure sufficient available funds are held in their account before scheduled payments, direct debits and other transactions are processed.
