Recognised for Supporting Employee Wellbeing

We're proud to share that we received the Workplace Employee Wellbeing Award at the 2026 Queensland Mental Health Awards.

Hosted by Open Minds, the awards celebrate the people and organisations making a real difference to mental health across Queensland. The award recognises the work happening across Queensland Country Bank to support wellbeing and create a workplace where people feel valued, connected and able to bring their best to work.

The recognition comes during World Mental Health Month in October – a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma and encourage people to check in with themselves and those around them. This year's theme, Together we thrive, highlights the power of connection and how small, everyday moments of care and kindness can create meaningful change.

At Queensland Country Bank, supporting positive mental health is an important part of how we care for our people and contribute to the broader community. Our approach includes practical initiatives designed to help employees access support, build confidence and prioritise their wellbeing. These include training team members as Mental Health First Aid Officers to help support staff, partnering with Sonder for our Employee Assistance Program, and offering employee benefits that promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

Our employees have also chosen Beyond Blue as one of our Workplace Giving charities, showing the strong value our people place on accessible mental health support and the important role it plays in communities.

We are also passionate about supporting mental health in our community, awarding Good for Good Community Grants to groups working to improve wellbeing and strengthen their local communities.

We're proud of this recognition and remain committed to making mental health and wellbeing a priority for our people and our communities.
