Queensland Country Bank, Official Banking Partner of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, will mark 20-years of partnership with the club in 2024.

The milestone has been confirmed following a one-year extension by Queensland Country Bank as a major partner of the North’s own club for the 2024 NRL Premiership season.

The partnership extension will also see Queensland Country Bank return as a match day sponsor in 2024 - this season for the Cowboys’ blockbuster clash against the Storm on 29 August.

Queensland Country Bank CEO Aaron Newman said Queensland Country Bank’s 20-year partnership with the Cowboys was built on a strong alignment between both brands’ connections to regional Queensland.

“Our story began in 1971 in Mount Isa, where we were established for employees from Mount Isa Mines, Carpentaria Exploration Company, Collinsville Coal Company and subsidiaries to access basic banking and small lending solutions close-to-home,” Mr Newman said.

“From those humble beginnings we quickly expanded and now, under our long-term member-owned model, provide financial services, sponsorships, community partnerships and grants to over 100,000 Queenslanders in every corner of the state,” he said.

“You can draw many comparisons between our growth story and that of the Cowboys through the grassroots support of our local community.”

Cowboys Chief Executive Jeff Reibel said the Queensland Country Bank partnership showcased the power of membership to grow and sustain iconic Queensland brands.

“For nearly thirty-years, the Cowboys has delivered an immense program of life changing sport, community, education, outreach and junior development clinics, thanks to the support of our record-number of consumer and corporate members, and partners,” Mr Reibel said.

“Since Queensland Country Bank began over 53 years ago, they have also remained committed to investing back into Queensland communities by providing products, services and community support that makes a difference beyond the balance sheet.”

“We look forward to celebrating 20 years since Queensland Country Bank joined us as a partner in 2004 and are humbled by the ongoing support.”
