So far our partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities has injected $20,001 in to the Queensland Chapters. Your contributions will help this grow. This partnership supports children like Rani, who spent 105 nights at Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia after suffering a stroke.

The close proximity of the house to the hospital allowed Rani to leave the hospital daily to enjoy meals with her mum, Carole, visit with friends and feel like a normal teenager. It also meant that Carole could be with her daughter through every step of her recovery.

Rani is a sweet, charismatic 17 year old who loves Justin Bieber and has dreams of traveling the world. She was enjoying an afternoon at home with her mum Carole and older brother Rama when she suffered a stroke. She was left completely paralysed on her left side.

What was supposed to be a quiet afternoon at home with family suddenly turned into an unimaginable experience for any parent, and Carole found herself far from her support system and not knowing if Rani would survive.

Rani attends daily intensive physical therapy sessions and is slowly gaining her strength and movement back. She's had to learn how to walk, use her arm, and even learn how to smile again.

But despite these incredible challenges, she exudes fearlessness, hope and sheer determination.
