Our community grants are here to help turn bright ideas into meaningful action for Queensland communities. From sport and recreation projects through to education, health, environment and arts, culture and heritage, these grants are designed to make a real difference where it matters most. It all starts with your application. Submitting a community grant application doesn't need to be overwhelming. Follow the steps below and read our Application Guide to better understand the type of information you may need to provide.

Step 1 - Check Your Eligibility

Start by reviewing the grant Guidelines and Eligibility document. This will help you confirm if your community group and type of project may qualify for the grant. Taking a few minutes now to check eligibility can save time later. If you’re unsure about your eligibility, you are still able to submit your application. All submissions will be reviewed.

Step 2 - Prepare Your Application

Next, download or view our Application Guide. This handy resource gives you a clear overview of what to expect in the application form. Be sure to plan your responses and gather any required documents, like financial information or project details, in advance. Proper preparation sets the foundation for a strong submission.

Step 3 - Submit Your Application 

When you're ready, access the online application form below, available from 1 July to 31 August 2025. Take your time to fill out all sections thoroughly and check for accuracy before submitting. The grant applications form needs to be completed all at once, you will not be able to save and return to the form. Please keep this in mind before starting your application.
