Prominent local financial planner and best-selling author Jodie Nolan has been appointed as our new Maleny Branch Manager. The need for a well versed financial professional like Jodie has appeared at the perfect time for our new Maleny branch.
Ms Nolan’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to maintaining and building Member relationships and engaging with the local community.
Ms Nolan has sold her successful financial planning business, EQUIS Group Wealth Management, to join the Queensland Country Group and said she feels comfortable knowing she has left her former clients in good hands as she embarks on this exciting new direction in her career.
Jodie’s new role as our Maleny Branch Manager not only gives her the opportunity to share her long-established expertise with the wider community, but continue her career in an industry that she is so passionate about.
“I have loved every moment of building a business and working closely with clients, but I feel I can do more for the community in a role like this,” she said.
“I did my thesis on the lack of financial literacy in Australia and the opportunity to be back on the frontline and return to grass roots community banking, with a bank focused on Members, is a great career opportunity for me.
“I’m an economist by trade, but I’ve got such a diverse background and I’m excited to share that knowledge and expertise with Members to help them reach their financial goals such as home ownership.”
As one of South East Queensland’s top destinations, Ms Nolan believes there is enormous potential to assist businesses to grow and capitalise on the tourism dollar, particularly in light of Australians holidaying at home post-pandemic.
“I have strong ties within the business community and as a former business owner myself, I understand their needs,” she says.
